Looe Island View is a four-bedroom cottage in Downderry on Cornwall’s south coast, sleeping 8 in two bathrooms. The property takes its name from the elevated position - a long balcony and terrace look across the bay toward St George’s Island (Looe Island), a mile offshore. Full-length glass doors open from the living area onto the rattan-furnished outdoor space.

The cottage has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Garden access is included, and dogs are welcome. Wifi and parking complete the practical side.

Downderry Beach is 500m away - a sheltered shingle and sand beach with rock pools and a slipway used by kayakers at high tide. The village has a traditional pub and a tapas restaurant within walking distance. East Looe beach is 4 miles west, the larger town offering more shops and restaurants along the riverfront. For a coastal walk, the South West Coast Path runs through the village.

Best for larger families or two households wanting a south-coast base with beach access and sea-view outdoor space. Less good for those needing a fully sandy beach directly on the doorstep, or looking for a central location for touring west Cornwall.
