Lower Trenarthan

Lower Trenarthan is a reverse-level 2-bedroom cottage on the hillside edge of Penzance, sleeping 4 with sea views across Mount's Bay from the first-floor living area and a wrap-around glass-fronted balcony. The layout puts the main living space upstairs to make the most of the outlook - open-plan kitchen and dining room on the upper floor, alongside a king-size bedroom with walk-in thermostatic shower and his-and-hers basins.

The ground floor holds a twin room with Smart TV and a second shower room. A dishwasher and washing machine are included, plus Wi-Fi and parking. Dogs are welcome. One caveat worth noting: the driveway is steep and may not suit guests with limited mobility.

Eastern Green Beach, a quiet south-facing sandy beach with views of St Michael's Mount, is around 900 metres on foot. The Art Deco Jubilee Pool lido - the largest seawater pool in the UK at 300 feet long, with a geothermal pool added in 2020 - is about a mile along the promenade. Penzance harbour, with boat trips to St Michael's Mount, is 0.5 miles from the cottage. Newlyn, England's largest fishing port, is a walkable mile south-west.

**Best for:** Couples or small families who want sea views from the living room, easy access to Penzance's amenities, and a dog-friendly base within walking distance of a quiet beach.

**Less good for:** Guests with mobility issues (steep driveway), anyone needing 3 or more bedrooms, or those wanting a rural or coastal setting away from a town.
