Manacles

Manacles is the old dairy barn of the original Tresooth Farm, converted to a two-bedroom stone cottage and set in the central courtyard of Tresooth Cottages. The complex sits on the edge of Mawnan Smith, with a shop 0.5 miles away and a pub at 1.8 miles.

It sleeps four. One bedroom has a super-king bed and the other twin beds that can be joined as a super-king, and each has its own en-suite shower, basin and WC. The open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. A Smart TV and central heating are supplied, and a log burner adds heat; there is no starter pack, and logs are bought direct from the owner. A patio with a bench sits outside. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent, and high chairs, travel cots and stair gates are available for an extra charge on request.

Guests share the site's heated outdoor pool, which is open from Easter to the end of September with no lifeguard, so children need a parent or an adult over 18 with them. The indoor and outdoor hot tub and the sauna stay open year-round during set daily hours. There is also a games room with table tennis, pool and table football, and a children's play area. Off-road parking is provided, and the shared EV charging points are paid for through the Monta app.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, with any more agreed beforehand with the owner. Confirm the pet policy when booking. Smoking is not allowed, stag and hen parties need approval before booking, and the summer school holidays are booked in 7-night stays only. Manacles suits two couples or a family of four, and is less good for a group of five or more, as it sleeps four.
