Note that there is no private parking - the pay-and-display car park is a 5-minute walk uphill.

Mousehole Beach is about 100 metres from the front door - a sheltered harbour cove with calm water protected by a 14th-century granite breakwater. The South West Coast Path passes through the village, connecting to Lamorna Cove (2 miles west) and Newlyn (1.5 miles east). The Rock Pool cafe sits on the harbour wall, and a handful of restaurants and art galleries line the narrow lanes.

St Michael's Mount is around 7 miles along the coast, and the Minack Theatre about 9 miles west. Each December, the village hosts the Tom Bawcock's Eve celebration on 23 December. Penzance station, with mainline rail connections, is 3 miles north.

**Best for:** Couples or small groups wanting a village base with coast path access and dog-friendly surroundings. **Less good for:** Guests needing on-site parking - none available. Also a single bathroom only.
