Mayhurst

Mayhurst is a Victorian house built into the cliffside in Looe, with estuary views described from every room. A flight of stairs leads up to the front door, so the entrance is not suited to anyone with mobility problems. Inside there is a sitting room with an electric fire and Smart TV, and a kitchen/diner with a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and slow cooker. There is also a utility room, and the appliances include a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Three bedrooms sleep six: a super-king-size with an en-suite walk-in shower, a king-size and a double. There is also a family bathroom with a bath and a ground-floor shower room. Gas central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Outside is an enclosed decking area or verandah with furniture, a charcoal barbecue. Parking is off-road for one car. Shop 0.4 miles, pub 0.3 miles and the beach 0.9 miles are all within reach of the house. Pets are not accepted, and smoking is not allowed.

The house suits a family or a group of friends who want views over the estuary. It is less good for anyone who finds stairs difficult, since there are steps up to the door, or for anyone travelling with a dog, and the single parking space suits one vehicle only.
