Mill Cottage

Mill Cottage sits at Halgabron Mill, about a mile from Tintagel village on Cornwall's north Atlantic coast, sleeping four across two bedrooms with one bathroom.

The cottage has an open fire, a garden, and parking. Charging of electric vehicles is not permitted at the property. Wifi, dishwasher, and washing machine are included. Dogs are not accepted. Saturday changeover.

Bossiney Cove is 800 metres on foot - a narrow cove reached by a steep path with a small waterfall at the back. Tintagel Castle, managed by English Heritage, is the main draw in the area: the ruined medieval headland castle has a footbridge added in 2019 reconnecting the two sides of the promontory. The South West Coast Path runs directly along the cliffs here, with dramatic drops to the sea. Crackington Haven is 6.5 miles south along the path, and Tregardock Beach, further along the same coast, is 3.6 miles away.

Rocky Valley, a narrow wooded gorge with a small stream and Bronze Age rock carvings, is also within walking distance of the cottage.

Best for couples or small families who want coast path access and a proper fire in the evenings. Less good for those needing multiple bathrooms or somewhere to bring a dog.
