Moon's Cottage

Moon's Cottage is a reverse-level 3-bedroom property in Golant, a village on the River Fowey roughly 3 miles north of Fowey town. The cottage sleeps 6 and sits 50 metres from the village pub and 0.2 miles from the river.

The three bedrooms are on the ground floor: a king-size with TV and en-suite shower room with double basin, a double with TV, and a twin. A separate ground-floor bathroom has a freestanding bath with overhead shower. Upstairs, the kitchen-diner and sitting room with open fire occupy the first floor, taking advantage of the elevated position. A dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and Smart TV are included. Wi-Fi is available throughout.

Off-road parking for 2 cars is provided. An enclosed rear terrace has a lawn, gas barbecue, and outdoor furniture. Readymoney Cove - a sandy, sheltered beach below St Catherine's Castle at the mouth of Fowey harbour - is 2.2 miles away. Lantic Bay, a National Trust beach reached by a steep 20-30 minute walk and known for clear water and dramatic cliffs, is 2.9 miles south.

Golant sits on the west bank of the River Fowey, connected by road to Fowey town where the passenger ferry crosses to Polruan every 10-15 minutes. The Hall Walk circular - a 4-mile route using both ferries - is one of the most popular short walks in south Cornwall. Dogs are welcome.

**Best for:** dog owners, since dogs are welcome and the enclosed rear terrace gives them somewhere safe to be let out. **Less good for:** guests who want everything on one level, since this is a reverse-level cottage with the kitchen and sitting room upstairs and all three bedrooms on the ground floor.
