Morvoren Gulval

Morvoren is a two-bedroom cottage for four in the grounds of a 500-year-old manor house in Gulval, a hillside village overlooking Mount's Bay just outside Penzance. A double and a twin give a straightforward family layout, with one bathroom shared between the two rooms.

Guests have use of a shared indoor swimming pool, and tennis courts operate in the grounds during high season. A patio and picnic benches offer places to eat outside, and WiFi, parking, a dishwasher and garden are all included. Up to two dogs can stay. The letting agent rates cleanliness, equipment, comfort and location all four out of five, and host Victoria manages the booking.

Penzance is a short walk or drive downhill, with its promenade, the Art Deco Jubilee Pool, harbour and ferries to the Isles of Scilly. St Michael's Mount is about 3 miles east, reachable on foot across the causeway from Marazion at low tide. Eastern Green Beach is 0.8 miles from the cottage, Long Rock Beach 1.2 miles and Marazion Beach 2.5 miles, with the Minack Theatre also within regional reach for an evening out.

**Best for:** four guests wanting a shared indoor pool, seasonal tennis and manor-house grounds close to Penzance.

**Less good for:** guests needing two bathrooms, on-site laundry, step-free access or private rather than shared leisure facilities.
