Neptune Cottage

Neptune Cottage is a former fisherman's cottage for six in the old fishing quarter of St Ives. Two double rooms and a twin suitable for children only make up the three bedrooms, all sharing a single bathroom, an important limitation for a full group of six.

Original features are retained throughout, and sea views come from the bedrooms. The cottage has a small front courtyard with a bistro set, WiFi, a dishwasher and washing machine, and one dog can stay. Parking is not included, so drivers need to arrange this separately in a town where street parking is scarce; cars can be left at a nearby pay-and-display car park. The cottage is set over three levels and reached up a few steps, with the two doubles and the family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath, on the first floor and the twin in the eaves on the second.

Porthgwidden Beach is 100m away, Porthmeor Beach 300m and St Ives Harbour Beach 400m from the cottage, three of the town's four beaches within easy reach on foot from the old quarter. The Tate St Ives gallery at Porthmeor and the studios that have drawn artists to the town since the 1880s are also close by.

**Best for:** families wanting an old-quarter cottage, bedroom sea views and three St Ives beaches within 400m.

**Less good for:** six adults sharing one bathroom, drivers expecting included parking or guests requiring step-free access.
