North End House

North End House is a three-storey townhouse in central Fowey for seven guests. Its four bedrooms comprise a king, a double and two singles, one with a pull-out trundle for extra flexibility. Two bathrooms serve the group, and the third-floor lounge has views across the Fowey estuary. Fifteen steps lead up to the entrance on the ground floor, and both bathrooms have a bath with a shower over it, one of them en-suite to the king-size bedroom.

WiFi, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a garden are included, and up to two dogs can stay. The three floors mean guests should check the stair layout and bathroom positions before booking.

The harbour is a short walk away. Fowey remains a working cargo port, still shipping china clay along the estuary it has exported since 1869. Readymoney Cove, below the Tudor fort of St Catherine's Castle, is 0.9 miles from the house. Lantic Bay is 1.4 miles away and Lansallos Beach 2.5 miles, both reached via the South West Coast Path.

**Best for:** Families or friends wanting four bedrooms, river views, a garden and room for two dogs in central Fowey.

**Less good for:** Guests who find multiple floors or non-step-free access difficult.
