Nuthatch Retreat

Nuthatch Retreat is a converted Cornish barn near Bodmin, sleeping two in a single king-size room with one bathroom. The property sits within 20 acres of woodland close to Cardinham Woods, with landscaped gardens, a patio and valley views rather than any coastal outlook. Bodmin and Cardinham are about 3 miles away. The owners note that the property is not suitable for children or infants. The lounge, kitchen, dining area, double bedroom and bathroom are all on one floor, entered through a private entrance. Guests who need step-free access should check the entrance and the route from parking with the provider before booking.

A private hot tub and wood burner sit alongside WiFi, parking, EV charging and a garden with barbecue. Up to two dogs can stay. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge freezer, a microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine, and the dining area has a breakfast bar overlooking the front garden. The lounge has a vaulted ceiling, exposed stone and a TV.

This is a woodland base rather than a beach one: Carlyon Bay is 9.6 miles away, Readymoney Cove 9.7 miles and Charlestown Beach 10.1 miles. Closer to home, Lanhydrock House sits 2.5 miles south-east of Bodmin town, and the Camel Trail runs 11.5 miles from Bodmin to Padstow on a flat, largely traffic-free surface, good for an easy cycle between hot tub sessions.

**Best for:** couples wanting a private hot tub, EV charging and a quiet woodland setting within easy reach of Lanhydrock and the Camel Trail.

**Less good for:** anyone planning a beach-based stay, or travelling with children or infants.
