Oyster

Oyster is a two-bedroom cottage for four in the hamlet of Stibb, two miles south of Bude within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Two en-suite bathrooms mean each bedroom has its own facilities, a practical setup for a family or two couples sharing.

Dogs are accepted, and off-road parking, WiFi, a garden and a dishwasher are all included. Changeover day is Friday. Stibb itself is a quiet cluster of farms and cottages along narrow lanes, giving quick access to Bude's shops and restaurants without the summer parking pressure of the town centre.

Summerleaze Beach, with its tidal sea pool that is free to use year-round, is 1.4 miles away. Crooklets Beach, the main surf beach, is 1.7 miles and Widemouth Bay, with its broad sand and consistent surf, is 2.2 miles. The Bude Canal, built in the 1820s and now used for kayaking and flat-water swimming, runs close to Stibb on its route south from the sea lock.

**Best for:** Four guests wanting a dog-friendly Bude-area cottage with two en-suites, parking, a garden and WiFi, comfortable with a short drive or walk into town.

**Less good for:** Guests needing step-free access, or anyone wanting to be in Bude itself rather than a quieter hamlet nearby.
