Pedney

Pedney is a one-bedroom shepherd's hut on a small working farm at Buryas Bridge, two miles inland from Newlyn. Stone steps lead up to a private walled garden planted with sub-tropical greenery. A chiminea and BBQ sit outside.

Inside, the hut is wood-panelled and tightly laid out for two. The open-plan living area has a woodburner, two armchairs, a small dining table, and a Smart TV. The separate bedroom holds a double bed and an en-suite shower room with a rainfall head. Wi-Fi and parking are included. Dogs are welcome. The track in is rural and rough in places.

Buryas Bridge sits between Newlyn and Lamorna in the Penwith landscape. Polgoon Vineyard is a 3-minute drive for tastings. Newlyn, England's largest fishing port, is 2 miles east - the Tolcarne Inn and Mackerel Sky serve the day's catch. Mousehole (pronounced "Mowzel") is 2.5 miles south. Penzance and the Jubilee Pool lido are 3 miles north. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is 7 miles. National Trust Trengwainton Garden lies 10 minutes away.

Best for couples wanting a quiet rural base with a garden and a woodburner, within easy reach of harbour villages. Less good for guests needing town-centre walkability or a step-free entry - the hut is up a flight of stone steps.
