From the property, Daymer Bay Beach is 3.8 miles on the edge of the Camel Estuary - a sheltered sandy bay that is ideal for families and paddlers at low tide. Polzeath surf beach is 4.5 miles for those wanting waves. Greenaway Beach, a quieter cove accessible by coastal path, is 4.2 miles.

The Camel Trail runs from Wadebridge to Padstow along the estuary and is one of the most-used cycling routes in Cornwall, covering around 18 miles in total. Hire shops operate at both ends of the route.

Best for couples or families with dogs who want a calm rural base with easy access to north Cornwall's beaches and cycle trails. Less good for guests relying on public transport, as the location requires a car for most journeys. Changeover is on Saturday.
