Buttercup At The Camel Trail

Buttercup at the Camel Trail sits in a gated riverside setting near Wadebridge, with three bedrooms sleeping six: a king, a double and a twin. The name isn't marketing - the cottage opens directly onto the Camel Trail, so cycling or walking starts at the gate rather than after a drive.

Three bathrooms cover the three bedrooms, an unusually generous ratio for a six-person cottage, useful when two families or a mixed group of friends are sharing. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher and a garden are included, and one dog is welcome. The double bedroom and the family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath, are on the ground floor. Upstairs, the king-size and twin bedrooms each have an en-suite, and the king-size has its own balcony overlooking the meadow. The lounge, kitchen and dining area are open plan.

The cottage overlooks a meadow with the River Camel running past, in the Wadebridge area with St Mabyn as the nearest town. Beaches are a proper drive rather than a stroll: Port Gaverne Beach is 7.0 miles away, Tregardock Beach is 8.0 miles and Daymer Bay is 9.2 miles.

**Best for:** walkers, cyclists and groups of six wanting trail access at the gate, three bathrooms and a riverside setting.

**Less good for:** beach-first stays.
