Petroc

Petroc is a Grade II-listed fisherman's cottage in the narrow lanes of East Looe, sleeping six. Its three bedrooms comprise one super-king-size, one king-size and one twin, though all six guests share a single bathroom, which may matter more than the generous bed count.

Stone walls, beamed ceilings and a gas wood burner-effect fire give the interior its character. Wi-Fi, parking and a dishwasher are included, and dogs are not accepted. Cooking and laundry equipment includes an electric oven and hob, a fridge and a washer/dryer. Guests should confirm lane access and parking arrangements directly, since East Looe's older streets are narrow. The cottage is arranged over three floors, with the living room and family bathroom on the entrance floor and the open-plan kitchen/diner on the lower ground floor.

East Looe Beach is 100 metres away, sheltered by the harbour walls and well suited to families. Hannafore Beach is 0.6 miles and has some of the best rock pools in Cornwall, while Plaidy Beach is 0.7 miles, a quieter sand-and-shingle cove along the coast path. The working harbour, fish restaurants and independent shops of Looe are all within walking distance.

**Best for:** families or friends wanting three distinct bedrooms, listed-building character and a gas wood burner-effect fire close to East Looe Beach.

**Less good for:** groups wanting multiple bathrooms, or anyone travelling with a dog.
