Polurrian House

Polurrian House is a four-bedroom detached house near Cury Cross Lanes on the Lizard, sleeping eight across four bedrooms with three bathrooms. The house sits in an enclosed garden with a private hot tub, BBQ, and an open fire inside. That combination - outdoor soaking, fire for evenings, a garden for daytime - makes it more practical for shoulder-season use than most properties of similar size in this area, which tend to lack outdoor extras.

The kitchen-diner is designed to cater for eight, and the garden is fully enclosed. Wi-Fi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine are all included. No dogs, no wheelchair access. Sunday changeover.

Three beaches are within 1.5 miles. Poldhu Cove is 1.1 miles - a wide National Trust beach with a surf school and cafe operating from around Easter through October. Gunwalloe Church Cove is 1.2 miles, a sheltered cove beside the 15th-century Church of St Winwaloe, which sits almost on the beach itself. Polurrian Beach is 1.5 miles. Mullion Cove harbour, one of the few working Cornish harbours still regularly used by crab boats, is around 1.9 miles. The Lizard village and the southernmost point of mainland Britain are under 5 miles south.

Best for groups of six to eight wanting a rural base on the Lizard with outdoor space, a hot tub, and multiple nearby beaches for day trips. Less good for dog owners, anyone needing step-free access, or guests without a car - the location is genuinely rural and the nearest shop requires a drive.
