Polview

Polview is built around its outdoor space and its beds. The enclosed rear patio has decking, a hot tub, a barbecue and furniture, and the house sleeps ten across five super-king-size bedrooms. Four of them are zip/link beds that can be set up as twins on request, which helps when the group is not all couples.

Two bedrooms are en-suite with walk-in showers, one with a Juliette balcony. There is also a bathroom with a bath and shower over, and a cloakroom. Downstairs has an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area, plus a separate sitting room, a snug with a TV and a utility room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, a Quooker tap, a wine cooler and a Nespresso machine.

Parking is off road for three cars, with an EV charging point. Bring your own cable, download the Pod Point app and tell the owner at least a week before arrival. A highchair and travel cot are available on request. One well-behaved dog is welcome. In July and August only Friday changeovers apply, with a 7-night minimum, except from 30 July to 13 August 2027; at other times the minimum is 4 nights.

The house is in Crantock, with a shop 0.3 miles away, a pub 0.4 miles and the beach 0.7 miles. It suits two or three families or a group of friends, and the twin option helps with that. It is less good for anyone hoping for a short weekend break in summer, given the seven-night rule.
