Rainbow Lodge

Rainbow Lodge is a 4-bedroom lodge at Hengar Manor holiday park near St Tudy, sleeping 8 across 2 bathrooms. The main draw of the site is the on-site swimming pool, which is available to all lodge guests - useful for families who want guaranteed swimming regardless of the weather. The lodge also has a garden and a dishwasher. Wifi and parking are included. There is no hot tub or dog-friendly provision.

Hengar Manor sits in the countryside around the village of St Tudy in mid-Cornwall, roughly 8km from the north coast. The nearest significant beach is Tregardock, a remote and tide-sensitive cove at 8km, followed by Port Gaverne at 8.7km - a narrow inlet near Port Isaac that has a small car park and a pub on the beach. Port Isaac itself, known from television, is a short walk from Port Gaverne.

Bossiney Cove is 12.2km - a dramatic inlet accessed by steep steps with a sea arch visible at low tide. The Camel Trail, a traffic-free cycling route running 18 miles between Padstow and Bodmin along the Camel Estuary, starts roughly 8 miles west from Wadebridge. Bodmin Moor is accessible to the southeast, and Bodmin town itself has the county prison museum and Bodmin Jail.

This lodge is ideal for larger families or two families sharing who want an activities base in mid-Cornwall without committing to a coastal premium. The pool makes it suitable even in mixed weather, though the north coast beaches are a 15-20 minute drive. It is less suitable for couples or guests who prefer a more secluded rural cottage rather than a holiday park setting.

Tregardock Beach rewards the walk with rock pools and no facilities - best visited at low tide.
