Red River Stables - Peaceful, beautiful grounds, swimming pool, central location for West Cornwall

Red River Stables occupies Reskadinnick House, a 17th-century Grade II listed manor on the edge of Camborne, with the working stables converted into self-catering units. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 10:00. Dogs are welcome throughout.

The grounds run to 11 acres of garden, including a private courtyard, a boot room for wet gear and a seasonal outdoor pool that closes each year from September to May. Units come with a private bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, parquet floors and free WiFi, plus EV charging and bicycle parking on site. A wood burner and BBQ area cover the colder and warmer months. The kitchen has an electric kettle, dining table, refrigerator and microwave. Badminton equipment can be hired, and there is an outdoor fireplace and an outdoor dining area.

Portreath Beach is 2.6 miles away, with Godrevy Beach 3.5 miles and Gwithian Towans a similar distance beyond that - all within reach by car. St Michael's Mount and Tate St Ives are both around 12 miles, and Land's End Airport is 22 miles. The owners live on site and keep a veggie patch, chicken coop and trout pond that guests are welcome to see.

Best for couples, solo travellers or small groups wanting a quiet, garden-heavy base with a pool for summer. Less good for anyone wanting beach access on foot.
