Riverbend Lodge

A contemporary lodge in Rock, sleeping 4 across 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on a peaceful site near the Camel Estuary. The lodge is one of the area's better-equipped self-catering options at this size - hot tub, EV charging point, and a private deck for outdoor dining, all with dogs welcome.

Inside, the open-plan living space keeps the layout sociable. One bedroom has a king-size bed; the second has a zip-and-link twin that can be reconfigured as a super-king on request at booking. Two full bathrooms means no queuing. Note that the lodge does not have WiFi.

Rock is directly across the Camel Estuary from Padstow, connected by a water taxi running every 20 minutes. The Mariners pub and Rock's cafes are a short walk, and the South West Coast Path follows the estuary shore from the village. Wadebridge and the start of the Camel Trail cycle route are a short drive inland. Daymer Bay Beach - the sheltered, dune-backed beach where St Enodoc church sits among the dunes - is about 3 miles. For surf, Polzeath Beach is around 3.5 miles north with reliable Atlantic breaks and surf hire on site.

Best for couples or families of four who want a sociable, low-effort base for north Cornwall with no compromises on practical gear. Less ideal for those who need reliable internet access.
