Rollies Retreat

Rollies Retreat is a ground-floor apartment in Whitecross, in the parish of Lanteglos-by-Fowey, next door to the owner's own home. The Bodinnick car and passenger ferry is about a mile down the road, and it crosses to Fowey. The apartment is strictly for four guests, so it does not stretch to a fifth person.

Inside, the open-plan living space holds the kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. The kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Both bedrooms are doubles, and the shower room has a walk-in shower, a heated towel rail, a basin and a WC. Central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included, and there is wifi and a TV.

The garden has a patio, a lawn and furniture, and two cars can park off the road. The shop is 5 miles away and the river 0.7 miles. The Ship, a pub in Lerryn with free parking, is 3.5 miles, and Lanreath is a five-minute drive. Smoking is not allowed, and pets are not accepted.

Parents of an infant should bring their own baby equipment, as none is provided. The apartment suits two couples or friends sharing, or a family of four. It is less good for anyone hoping to take a fifth guest, or a baby who needs a cot or highchair on site.
