Lodge 16

Lodge 16 is a Scandinavian-style lodge with a vaulted ceiling and pine walls throughout, set on the edge of the 15 acres that belong to Lanteglos Country House Hotel. It sits in the Lanteglos area near Camelford, which is 1.4 miles away, and the shop is 1.2 miles off.

Inside, the open-plan room combines the kitchen, a dining table that extends and seats six, and a corner sofa. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge with ice-box and a dishwasher. There is unlimited fast WiFi, a 40 inch Smart TV and a DVD player with a selection of films. Night storage heaters do the heating, backed up by oil-filled radiators you plug in.

Sleeping is split across two floors. The ground floor holds a king-size bedroom and a twin, and the single bathroom, with a bath and shower over, is on that level too. A second twin room is up the stairs. Fuel and power are included in the rent, as are bed linen and towels.

Outside, a private patio has its own furniture, and guests may use the outdoor pool on the site. The nearest pub is 0.6 miles away. Off-road parking is provided. The lodge accepts stays of four nights or more, no pets are allowed, and smoking is not permitted. Anyone bringing an assistance dog should tell the booking team before arrival, so the owner can inform the site management. It suits families or a group of up to six friends; it is less good for anyone who wants every bedroom on one level, since one of the twin rooms is upstairs.
