Pedn Vounder beach is 1.1km along the coast path - a longer walk but considered one of the finest beaches on this stretch of coastline, with a tidal lagoon at low water. Land's End is around 5km west, and Mousehole is around 9km east via the South West Coast Path.

This works well for families wanting a beach-focused stay in the far west of Cornwall, with several distinct coves all within walking distance. The ground-floor layout adds practical value for those with pushchairs or mobility considerations.

Less suited to guests wanting lively nightlife or a short drive to amenities - the nearest town with shops and restaurants is Penzance, about 12km away. Changeover is Friday.
