Gulval village sits on a hillside above Penzance with open views across Mount's Bay toward St Michael's Mount. Eastern Green Beach is 0.8 miles downhill, a flat sandy stretch at the edge of Penzance's seafront. Marazion, the closest point to St Michael's Mount, is 2.4 miles east. Penzance town centre - with the Jubilee Pool, the Exchange gallery, and the ferry terminal for the Isles of Scilly - is under 1.2 miles by road.

This cottage suits a couple or small family who want a quiet base within easy reach of west Cornwall's main towns without being in the middle of a resort. Penzance gives good practical access to the Penwith peninsula, Land's End, and the Minack Theatre. Not great for those set on a sea view or on-site extras beyond the basics. Saturday changeover.
