Sancreed House Cottages

Sancreed House Cottages are adults-only self-catering cottages set in the grounds of a Georgian house dating to the 1830s, in the hamlet of Sancreed near Penzance. Each one-bedroom cottage sleeps two, with one full bed and one bathroom, and check-in is from 16:00 with check-out by 10:30.

Cottages have a wood burner with logs provided, electric heating, a TV and a full kitchen with dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. Guests also have access to a shared swimming pool heated from May to September, plus a sauna and spa facilities. Free WiFi and electric vehicle charging are included, and each cottage has a private patio with outdoor furniture. Shared off-road parking sits at the front of the main house.

Resident cats mean pets are not permitted, though the adults-only cottages suit couples wanting a quiet break. Sancreed Parish Church, with origins in the 13th and 14th centuries, stands next to the property, and Madron is the nearest town. Mousehole is 3.6 miles away, with Sennen Beach a five-mile drive along West Penwith's walking trails.

Best for couples wanting a countryside retreat with pool and spa access close to Penzance. Less good for anyone travelling with a dog, since the cottages don't accept pets.
