Sandbanks

Sandbanks is a detached three-bedroom house in Carbis Bay for four guests. Two bedrooms have king-size beds, while the third has a child-suitable twin, so the layout gives a family more flexibility than two couples sharing would need. Two bathrooms serve the group.

A wood burner sits inside for cooler evenings, and a wraparound veranda extends the living space outdoors alongside the garden. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher and washing machine are all included, and up to two dogs can stay. A private path leads from the garden towards the beach, avoiding the road.

Carbis Bay itself is 200 metres away, a Blue Flag arc of sand sheltered enough for swimming most of the year. Porthminster Beach is 1.1 miles from the house and St Ives Harbour Beach 1.2 miles, both reachable along the coast path or by taking the branch-line train from the village. St Ives and the Tate Gallery are also within easy reach for a rainy-day visit.

**Best for:** A family wanting three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private path to the beach, a wraparound veranda and room for two dogs.

**Less good for:** Adults needing a second double or king bed rather than the twin room, or anyone expecting step-free access.
