It is set back from the main road with a private garden and patio, making it a low-traffic base for exploring the Camel Estuary coastline.

Porthilly Cove is 1 mile on foot down quiet lanes - one of the calmer, sandier alternatives to the busier surf beaches nearby. Daymer Bay Beach is 2.5km, rated for safe swimming and popular with families. Polzeath surf beach is 3.2km, where surf hire and lessons are available from multiple operators along the strand.

The Rock passenger ferry crosses the Camel to Padstow in around 10 minutes and runs through the season - a practical option for restaurants and the Saturday market without needing to drive. The Camel Trail cycling and walking route runs from Padstow to Bodmin and covers 18 miles of traffic-free track.

Best for groups of up to 6 wanting quiet beach access without a busy resort. Not great for those needing direct beach access from the door - the nearest cove is a 20-minute walk. Amenities include wifi, parking for 2 cars, a BBQ, dishwasher, and washing machine. One dog welcome.
