Seamore is a duplex penthouse at Gallinas Point, above the centre of St Ives. A south-facing balcony with sea views opens off the open-plan living area, and the pub is 0.1 miles away, the beach 0.2 miles and the shop 0.3 miles.

It sleeps six across three bedrooms: a king-size with a TV and an en-suite bath with shower over, a ground-floor double with an en-suite shower, and a twin with a Smart TV. The king and the twin are on the top floor, so expect stairs. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over.

The kitchen has an induction hob, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and the lounge has a Smart TV with Netflix and an Xbox One. Heating is gas central heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. A cot (guests bring bedding), highchair and stairgate are provided. Parking is one off-road space behind a barrier, and a lift serves the building, though stairs are the fallback if it is out of order.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Complimentary passes for two guests at the HarSPA in The Harbour Hotel come with the apartment; the owner reviews them each year, and you call the spa before arrival to arrange entry. Building works are under way on Terrace Road, two roads below, so noise may vary. The penthouse suits families or two couples with a dog, and is less good for anyone who wants to avoid stairs. No smoking.
