The harbour, the Fisherman's Friends performance space on the Platt, and the fish restaurants and pubs that made the village well-known are all within 10 minutes on foot. The coast path heads north from Port Gaverne towards The Rumps headland and gives access to several miles of relatively undeveloped cliff walking.

Tregardock Beach is 3.2 miles north for a more remote option that involves a steep descent and no facilities. Polzeath surf beach is 4.2 miles south for hire shops and lifeguards.

Best for families with dogs who want village character and a calm beach within easy walking distance. Suits guests who plan to walk rather than drive to beaches. Less good for groups of 6 or more - the property sleeps 5 across 3 bedrooms with a single bathroom. Friday changeover.
