Shippen Cottage Bude

Shippen Cottage Bude is a single-storey cottage in Marhamchurch, a village 1.5 miles south of Bude, sleeping two guests in one bedroom with one bathroom. The stay includes shared use of an on-site heated pool, hot tub and tennis court, an unusual combination of leisure facilities for a cottage this size.

The cottage looks over open fields, with outdoor seating making the most of the setting. There is no garden of its own, and WiFi, a dishwasher and washing machine are all absent, so this suits guests happy to eat out or drive into Bude for supplies. Parking and EV charging are included, and dogs are welcome.

Marhamchurch is a quiet village built around the Norman church of St Marwenne, with the Bullers Arms as the local pub. Widemouth Bay is 1.9 miles away, Summerleaze Beach 2.5 miles and Crooklets Beach 2.8 miles, all reachable via Bude's beach car parks. The Bude Canal towpath gives a flat walking and cycling route into town for anyone who prefers not to drive every day. Marhamchurch itself hosts an annual Revel week each August.

Shippen Cottage holds a 5 out of 5 rating from one review, with cleanliness, equipment and comfort each scored 5.

**Best for:** Couples wanting shared pool, hot tub and tennis facilities, EV charging and countryside views close to Bude.
