Silver Sands

The Sands Apartments stand on the cliff above Carbis Bay, and Silver Sands is a first-floor, two-bedroom apartment there. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors from the open-plan living area lead to a seaward-facing balcony, and there is a communal garden facing the same way.

The king bedroom has an en-suite shower and the second room is a twin. The family bathroom has a bath with a shower over. The dining area has an oak table with six leather chairs, and the kitchen includes a Nespresso machine, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. In the lounge there is Sky, a Bluetooth speaker and a PS3 with games, and the bedrooms have Freeview TVs. WiFi is included.

Parking is gated, off-road and for one car. St Ives is two miles away, and shops, beaches and pubs are within a short walk. Gas central heating is included, together with fuel, power, bed linen and towels. A cot and highchair are provided, and guests bring their own cot bedding. The building has a lift, though a notice says not to rely on it alone, since the stairs are the fallback if it is out of order.

It suits a couple or a family of four wanting a balcony, a garden and Carbis Bay beach nearby. Pets and smoking are not allowed.
