Silverwell Forge

Silverwell Forge is a ground-floor 1-bedroom country cottage in the Silverwell hamlet near Blackwater, set between St Agnes and Truro. It sleeps 2 with 1 bathroom and has sole-use patio and garden space, a BBQ, a wet room with shower, and a washing machine. Wi-Fi and parking are included. One pet is allowed. The owners cannot take children, though babes in arms are welcome. Friday changeover.

The cottage sits in a quiet rural position, removed from the village centres, which suits couples who want a calm retreat over a lively base. The beach and coast are about 3.5 miles away. Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes is a small, sheltered cove backed by the remnants of Cornwall's tin and copper mining era, with the coast path running south along the cliffs. Trevellas Cove is another small north-facing inlet nearby. Perranporth's 3-mile Atlantic beach, one of the longest stretches of sand on the north Cornish coast, is 4.3 miles.

St Agnes village, around 15 minutes by car, has a pub, independent shops, a local bakery, and the Trevaunance Cove cafe strip. Truro is 20 minutes south for a full range of supermarkets, restaurants, and the county's main theatre and arts centre.

Best for couples who want a quiet rural base in mid-Cornwall with the coast and city both within easy reach. Good for walking or cycling the network of quiet lanes around Blackwater. Not great for groups of more than 2, families with children over babe-in-arms age, or those who need the beach on foot. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking.
