Skovva

Skovva is a three-bedroom cottage in Rock sitting within a small, exclusive development set back from the road that leads down to the Camel Estuary. It sleeps 6 across a king-size, a double and a twin room, with 2 bathrooms. The approach is deliberately unfussy - clean lines, Scandi-influenced interiors with a wood burner as the natural centre of the living space.

The cottage has EV charging on site, a BBQ, dishwasher, Wi-Fi and parking. A wraparound deck provides the main outdoor space, with soft green views rather than a garden as such. One dog is welcome. There is no pool or washing machine, so it suits guests who prefer a compact, well-finished stay rather than a larger group setup.

For beaches, Daymer Bay is 1.4 miles away - a sheltered sandy estuary beach good for families and calm-water swimming. Polzeath is 2.1 miles north with lifeguarded surf. Rock's water taxi crosses to Padstow every 20 minutes, which takes care of evenings without the need to drive. The South West Coast Path passes through the area, and a footpath from the village leads down to Porthilly Cove. Port Isaac is 8 miles north.

**Best for:** Couples or smaller families wanting a design-led base in one of north Cornwall's most sought-after villages, with EV charging and easy estuary access. **Less good for:** Guests needing a garden, washing machine, or space for more than 6 - and only 1 dog is permitted.
