There is no wood burner or open fire, making this more of a warmer-months cottage than an off-season retreat.

Three beaches are within a short drive or cycle. Daymer Bay, the National Trust beach at the Camel Estuary mouth, is 2km north and good for safe family swimming. Greenaway, 2.6km away, is quieter and better for low-tide walking along the sands. Polzeath, the surf beach with a consistent Atlantic swell, is 3.5km and has board hire at the car park.

The Rock to Padstow water taxi runs seasonally from the slipway close by. The village pub is roughly 100 metres away.

Best for families or friend groups who want a sociable North Cornwall base in summer. Not great for couples seeking privacy - the mid-terrace layout and 6-person sizing works best when filled. Friday changeover, no pets.
