Slipway 16 is a 3-bedroom terraced house on Rock Road in Rock, sleeping 6 with 2 bathrooms. The ground floor has a king-size bedroom and direct access to the garden, making it accessible for guests who cannot use stairs. Rock beach is sheltered on the eastern bank of the Camel Estuary - calm, sandy water that is better for paddleboarding and swimming than surfing. The Rock to Padstow water taxi departs from the nearby slipway in season, crossing the estuary in around 10 minutes. Padstow has a wider range of restaurants, a weekly market, and Rick Stein's fish-and-chip shop on the quay. The South West Coast Path links Rock north to Polzeath and south toward Daymer Bay.

Daymer Bay Beach is 2km by road or path - a sheltered, National Trust-backed cove popular with families and paddleboarders at low tide. Greenaway Beach is 2.6km. Polzeath, with its surf hire and beach cafe, is 3.5km.

Best for families or a group of 3 couples who want a short walk to a sheltered beach and easy access to Padstow by water taxi. The ground-floor bedroom is useful for anyone with limited mobility. Not great for those wanting surf, a hot tub, or evening entertainment in Rock itself - the village is quiet after dark.
