Smithy Cottage Marazion

Smithy Cottage is a three-bedroom cottage for six in Marazion, one of the oldest chartered towns in Britain, 2 miles east of Penzance. The sleeping arrangement comprises one king-size bedroom, one twin and a super-king-size zip-and-link that can be made up as another twin on request, with two bathrooms for the group. Two bedrooms and the family bathroom are on the first floor, and the third bedroom sits in the eaves on the second floor, with a shower room on the ground floor.

A conservatory adds a second place to sit, and the ground-floor utility room is useful after beach days. WiFi, a dishwasher and washing machine are provided. The enclosed courtyard garden has a barbecue, and parking is included. Up to two dogs are accepted.

The local pub is 350 metres away. Marazion Beach is 0.7 miles from the cottage, with St Michael's Mount as a constant backdrop, reachable on foot across its granite causeway at low tide. Perranuthnoe Beach is 1.2 miles away and Long Rock Beach 1.9 miles. Penzance's shops and restaurants are 2 miles by road.

**Best for:** A family or mixed group wanting flexible beds, an enclosed courtyard and Marazion within walking reach.

**Less good for:** Guests requiring step-free accommodation.
