Inside, two bathrooms serve the four-guest layout, which is more generous than most lodges of this size. The sitting area has a wood burner for cooler evenings, the kitchen runs a dishwasher, and an EV charging point is on site - an unusual inclusion for a rural Cornish property. Note: no washing machine and no Wi-Fi.

The side decking is where the property earns its keep: private hot tub, BBQ, and an enclosed garden where up to two dogs can run loose without supervision. Portreath Beach is 4.5km west on a quieter stretch of coast managed by the National Trust. Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes is 5.1km north-east - a smaller, rockier beach that draws surfers from the village.

Best for couples or small families who want a hot-tub lodge with dog space and good beach access on the north Cornish coast. Less good for guests who need Wi-Fi throughout, accessible ground-floor sleeping, or a washing machine on site.
