Guests have free run of the 20-acre Bonython Estate gardens - listed among Cornwall's Great Gardens, with a walled potager and a valley holding three small lakes. Poldhu Cove is 2.1 miles west, where the Marconi Wireless Station memorial marks the spot the first transatlantic radio signal was sent in 1901. Mullion Cove harbour is four miles south, Kynance Cove eight miles, and the Lizard Lighthouse ten.

Best for couples on a quiet rural break wanting garden access and both Lizard coasts within ten minutes' drive. Helston market town is three miles north, with the Flora Day festival each May. Less good for groups, dog owners, or anyone wanting to walk to amenities - the village is rural and a car is essential.
