Talehay Cottages

Stone-cottage complex a mile from the village of Pelynt, within easy reach of Looe. The main house began as a 17th-century Cornish farmhouse, grade II listed, and the outbuildings have been converted into cottages arranged around a central courtyard. Communal gardens with lawned areas sit alongside a further three-acre meadow guests can use freely, ideal for picnics or letting a dog run.

Each cottage has a wood burner, WiFi, private parking and an EV charging point. Dogs are welcome, and the grounds include a highchair and play area for young children, plus a balcony or terrace off some cottages. An indoor barbecue hut and fire pits sit in the meadow for evening use, and accessible parking is available.

The coastline is about 3 miles away, with secluded sandy coves along this stretch of the south coast. Talland Bay is roughly 3.2 miles from the courtyard, and Lansallos beach a similar distance. Looe's harbour and fishing fleet are a short drive further on, and Restormel Castle is 8.7 miles inland.

Best for dog owners and families wanting space to roam away from a town centre. Less good for anyone without a car, given the distance to the nearest beach and shops.
