Tas Gwynn

Tas Gwynn is a two-bedroom cottage in the village of St Buryan, sleeping 4 in 1 bathroom with a wood burner and open fire. The name is Cornish, and the property sits in one of West Penwith's inland villages - quiet, stone-built, and within a couple of miles of some of the most dramatic coastline in Cornwall. An enclosed garden and parking for one car complete the practical amenities. WiFi and a washing machine are included. Dogs are welcome. From £365 per night.

Penberth Cove is 1.9 miles away - a working fishing cove with a slipway and lobster pots, owned by the National Trust and largely unchanged for generations. Pedn Vounder is 2.2 miles, a remote sand cove accessible by a steep coastal path. Porthcurno - home to the Minack Theatre cut into the clifftop - is 2.5 miles and has a café and car park at the beach. Land's End is roughly 4.3 miles west, and Mousehole and Newlyn are driveable in around 20 minutes.

Good for couples or small families of 4 who want to explore the far west of Cornwall at their own pace from a quiet village base. Works well for walkers using the South West Coast Path, which is accessible within a short drive from the cottage. Not ideal for guests who want to walk to a beach from the door - all nearby beaches require a car journey or a sustained coastal hike.
