Two bedrooms spread over two floors: one king and one twin, sharing a bathroom and separate WC. Downstairs has underfloor heating; upstairs uses radiators. The multi-fuel stove in the sitting room and an induction hob kitchen make it a practical four-season base. Bed linen, towels, and fuel are included in the weekly rate.

The south-facing lawned garden has a patio, furniture, and BBQ. The village a mile away has a pub, shop, fish and chip shop, and post office - enough for a quiet self-catering week without needing to drive for basics. Carlyon Bay is 5.6km for a sandy south-coast beach, and the Georgian harbour at Charlestown - used as a filming location for *Poldark* - is roughly 6km.

Best for: couples and small families wanting a quiet rural base within striking distance of the Eden Project and south Cornwall's beaches. Less good for: pet owners (no pets) or families with children under six.
