The Barn, St Minver

The Barn is a four-bedroom converted barn in St Minver, a village parish about a mile inland from Rock on Cornwall's north coast, sleeping up to 7 guests across 2 bathrooms. The conversion retains good space for groups, with a wood-burning stove as the centrepiece of the main living area and an enclosed garden for outdoor use. Parking and Wi-Fi are included. No dogs.

The four bedrooms give enough spread for a mixed family group, and the 2 bathrooms prevent the usual morning bottleneck. A dishwasher and washing machine are both on-site. Friday changeover gives guests a full weekend on arrival.

Daymer Bay Beach is roughly 2.2 miles away - a sheltered estuary beach at the mouth of the Camel, with calm shallow water and sandy dunes. Polzeath Beach is about 2.4 miles, the main surf beach for this stretch of coast. Rock village and its water taxi to Padstow are around a mile from St Minver. The Camel Trail - a 17-mile traffic-free cycling and walking route - is accessible from Wadebridge, about 3 miles south. Wadebridge also has supermarkets and a cinema.

**Best for:** families or friend groups who want proximity to the Rock and Polzeath beaches without paying Rock prices, with space for 7 and a garden. **Less good for:** couples, solo travellers, or anyone needing dog-friendly accommodation - pets are not permitted here.
