The Blue House

The Blue House is a three-bedroom semi-detached cottage on Fore Street in Tintagel village, sleeping 6 guests across 2 bathrooms. The ground floor is accessible, and the property has both a wood-burning stove and an open fire - practical for the north Cornwall shoulder seasons. An enclosed garden to the rear gives outdoor space for the group. Off-road parking, Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine are all included. No dogs.

The three bedrooms sleep 6 in a mix of doubles and a further room, with 2 bathrooms avoiding morning queues. The enclosed garden backs onto the village. Tintagel Castle (English Heritage, adult entry £14.80) is within walking distance - the 2019 footbridge spans a 58-metre gorge to reach the clifftop ruins. The Old Post Office on Fore Street, a 14th-century National Trust farmhouse, is effectively on the doorstep.

Bossiney Cove Beach is about 1,200 metres along the coast path - a low-tide-only sandy cove with Elephant Rock and sea caves. Rocky Valley, with its ancient rock-carved labyrinths, is a short walk from Bossiney car park. St Nectan's Glen waterfall is roughly a mile from the village. The village has a pub (King Arthur's Arms Inn, family-run for over 80 years), cafes, and a post office.

**Best for:** families or small groups visiting Tintagel Castle and the surrounding coast path, who want a village-centre base with a fire and garden. **Less good for:** guests with dogs, or anyone wanting a beachfront position - Bossiney Cove is low-tide only and requires a walk down steep cliffs.
