The Cart House

The Cart House is a ground-floor barn conversion on Trudgian Farm near Sticker village, sleeping 4 in 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom and a garden. It sits in the clay country south of St Austell - rural and quiet, with the coast and major attractions within easy reach.

Inside the conversion, the layout is entirely ground-floor with 2 bedrooms, wi-fi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine included. Changeover is Saturday. The farm setting means a quieter backdrop than a harbour or beach village, with footpaths through the surrounding farmland starting nearby.

Pentewan Beach is about 2.5 miles south - a sandy RNLI-lifeguarded beach nearly a mile long with kayaking and paddleboarding available in summer. Mevagissey's working harbour is a similar drive. Charlestown - a Georgian port with a preserved tall-ships harbour that appeared in Poldark - is about 4 miles east. The Eden Project is around 4 miles north. Between the two, mid-Cornwall offers a lot of day-trip range without heavy summer coastal traffic.

**Best for:** Small families or couples wanting a central mid-Cornwall base with easy access to beaches, Eden Project, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

**Less good for:** Guests needing dog-friendly accommodation, sea views, or a hot tub.
