The Hayloft

The Hayloft is a 2-bedroom cottage in Sticker, a village on the edge of the mid-Cornwall clay country 3 miles west of St Austell. It sleeps 4 across 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, with underfloor heating and an enclosed garden making it comfortable across all seasons. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher, and a washing machine are all included.

The cottage sits in a practical inland position that puts two of Cornwall's biggest visitor attractions within easy driving distance. The Eden Project is 4 miles north - Cornwall's biome complex in a former clay pit. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a similar distance to the south, with 57 acres of restored Victorian garden, productive walled kitchen gardens, and Jungle Valley. Charlestown harbour, the restored 18th-century clay port now home to tall ships and used as a filming location for Poldark, is under 4 miles east.

South-coast beaches are reachable in under 15 minutes. Pentewan Beach is around 3 miles south, Porthpean is a similar distance, and Charlestown Beach is within 4 miles. The village of Sticker itself has a pub and footpaths through the surrounding farmland.

**Best for:** families of up to 4 wanting a base within reach of the Eden Project and Heligan without paying coastal premiums; couples wanting good driving access across mid-Cornwall.
