The Maples 44

The Maples 44 is a 2-bedroom lodge on Meadow Lakes Holiday Park near Hewas Water, sleeping 4 with 2 bathrooms. The park sits in the Sticker area between St Austell and the south coast, roughly equidistant between two of Cornwall's biggest visitor attractions.

Inside, the lodge has an open-plan layout with a dishwasher, washing machine, and Wi-Fi. The garden has decked seating, and parking is included. EV charging is available on-site. Guests have access to the park's heated swimming pool, and 4 on-site fishing lakes are open to anglers. No dogs are accepted. Friday changeover.

The Eden Project is about 4 miles north - worth booking ahead in peak season. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a similar distance to the south. The south coast beaches at Pentewan are around 3.8 miles and Charlestown with its 18th-century harbour and tall-ship fleet is about 5 miles. Porthpean Beach is a quieter sandy cove about 4.3 miles away. St Austell town centre is 4 miles for supermarkets and the train station.

Best for: families or two couples wanting a mid-Cornwall base for the Eden Project, Heligan, and south coast beaches, with park facilities on-site. Less good for: those wanting a coastal or village setting - this is a holiday-park environment in rural farmland with no sea view.
