The Dovecote

The Dovecote is a one-bedroom converted cottage in Lamorna for two guests, a narrow wooded valley about 4 miles south of Penzance on the Penwith peninsula. It has one king-size bedroom and one bathroom.

A private courtyard hot tub, wood burner, open fire, Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher, washing machine, garden and barbecue are all included, with the courtyard providing private outdoor space. Dogs are not accepted. Coastal views and a contemporary gothic interior with the owner's own paintings give the cottage its character.

Lamorna's granite quay, built in the 1850s to ship stone from the quarry above, sits beside a small cove that once anchored one of Cornwall's leading artists' colonies - painter Samuel "Lamorna" Birch lived and worked here from 1892 until his death in 1955. Lamorna Cove is 500 metres away, Mousehole Beach is 1.6 miles from the cottage and Penberth Cove 3.3 miles.
