The Duck House

The Duck House is a one-bedroom cottage for two at Rosemorran Farmhouse in Gulval, a hillside village between Penzance and Hayle. An open fire serves the living space, and the cottage has its own garden.

One bathroom serves the bedroom. Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and a washing machine are all provided, and dogs are accepted. Rosemorran Farmhouse gives the cottage a rural setting, with Penzance a short drive away. The garden and open fire give the two-person cottage separate indoor and outdoor focal points, useful for a couple wanting more than one place to sit of an evening. Friday is the changeover day.

Eastern Green Beach is 1.0 mile south, a quiet, south-facing beach with shallow water and views across Mount's Bay to St Michael's Mount. Long Rock Beach is 1.6 miles away, followed by Marazion Beach at 2.8 miles. Penzance town centre is a short drive for the promenade, the Jubilee Pool lido and the Isles of Scilly ferry terminal. Gulval itself, about a mile from Penzance, has a medieval church and the Coldstreamer Inn.

**Best for:** A couple wanting an open fire, garden and parking within a mile of Eastern Green Beach, close to Penzance without staying in the town centre.

**Less good for:** Guests needing step-free accommodation.
