The Gate House

The Gate House is a Grade II-listed, two-bedroom property in St Minver for four guests, standing on the private 40-acre Dinham Estate. One bathroom serves both bedrooms, and guests who need doubles, twins or child-specific arrangements should confirm the layout before booking. Period features remain alongside later updates.

Two wood burners, Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher, a large garden and a barbecue are included, and one dog can stay. Equipment includes an oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer and a Nespresso Magimax Inissia coffee machine. Both bedrooms are on the first floor, each with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that converts to twins on request. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower, and a basket of logs is supplied for the wood burners. Estate grounds extend well beyond the private garden, giving guests room to walk within the property boundary.

Daymer Bay Beach, a sheltered estuary beach with calm water, is 3.3 miles away. Greenaway Beach, a quiet cove reached only on foot, is 3.5 miles from the house, and Polzeath Beach, a half-mile surf beach with left and right-hand breaks, is 3.6 miles away. The Camel Trail and Camel Estuary are within walking distance, with Rock and Padstow both reachable nearby.

**Best for:** A small family or friends wanting estate grounds, two wood burners, parking, a large garden and room for one dog.

**Less good for:** Guests needing confirmed bed types, multiple bathrooms or step-free access.
